Even with ammo smith, the ammo work bench creates a really puny amount of regular 2mm EC ammo. This makes it near impossible to feed a Gauss minigun. For a Gauss minigun, a prime receiver and ultracite ammo are practically mandatory.

Try even a one star bloody flamer for some real fun (granted you must put a fresh long barrel on it every server hop, that bug will never be fixed it seems.) Gauss minigun is great at making you poor. Flamer ammo is free from daily ops. If you want actual high dps bloody commando can't be beat.
