The Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Bill 2024 aims to give workers and employers a better balance of family life, work life and caring responsibilities. WebApr 28, 2024 · The proposed bill is necessary to implement the EU Work-life Balance Directive, which is due to be transposed by August 2024. Some aspects of the Directive, such as in respect of paternity leave, are already in place in Ireland and the general scheme is in fact more expansive than the Directive in some areas.
